If your six year-old boy comes down stairs without doing any of the three very important things you just asked him to do, he's probably fixing his Lego ship.
If your two year-old is in your room saying "mmm, mmm" in loud tones, she's probably gotten into your well-concealed Godiva dark chocolate truffles.
If your husband keeps asking you the same question over and over again, he probably wants the answer to change.
If your oldest daughter asks you never to make a certain dinner ever again, she's probably too picky.
If your son wants to describe several of the comics in his Garfield book, he's probably thinking they are still funny when told that way.
If your two year-old goes to bed with a harmonica and a pirate eye patch, she'll probably be entertained for the night.
If your husband asks you for those pumpkin muffins he really liked on the same day you're trying to clean the house and pack for vacation all by yourself, you should probably try to make them because you love him so much.
If the sun is shining in Oregon in November, you should definitely get outside and get some light therapy. Ahh!

I always go to bed with my harmonica and an eye patch. Doesn't everybody?
Ha, ha, ha! I love this post :)
This is a very funny post. I just can't comment on all of it! But I can picture Kara, in bed, with a harmonica, eye patch, and Godiva and a chocolate mustache. And a lego ship that has been stolen from her brother.
Ha! I laughed out loud about the six year old and the Lego ship. AMEN! Except the bad news is that my eight year old is still doing it....not sure if it ever passes.
And the eye patch and harmonica? Classic.
Pumpkin muffins- way to keep the romance alive! Great perspective.
Arrrghh. Love that Boo! And that Bean! And that pea, and the Tall man too. And you!
So, seriously, what's your answer?
It's good to know that girls are into pirates too! Thanks for the cute insight into your lives.
Love this post! That's awesome.
FUNNY! Thanks for a good smile. :)
