It's been a very busy 6 weeks for me. I can't believe it is almost August. It's hard to know where to start and what to blog about. Let me just say, though, that I love getting comments and keeping in touch with friends through blogging. It was especially fun to open up my blog stuff and find 5 comments waiting to be moderated. They were good ones, too!
In the past six weeks I took a 3,000 mile road trip with my family and had a successful week at YW camp. That's some of what I've been up to. The rest is a blur. Now we're in what I like to call "real" summer. The days where we can make our own schedules and do whatever we want. This week that included blueberry picking, swimming at the lake, celebrating Kyle's birthday, taking naps, going to a track meet, running, and bike riding.
The garden is doing AMAZING. Kyle is kind of mental about watering it (I think he's overdoing it), but it's endearing to see him out there patiently crouching with the hose. It may be a ploy to get out of putting kids to bed, now that I think about it. Anyway, we're eating lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, herbs, beans, carrots, and peas right now. Yum, yum, and yum.
I think I'll try to post more often to get caught up. This blog is kind of my family journal, which I never want to edit and print. Maybe someone else will magically do it for me??
Here are a few snaps so you know we still exist:
