That was SO 16 days ago
So we had this holiday where we celebrated our country's independence. And I was kind of in a daze with company, deck building and a heat wave. Thus, no cute sassy post here, but I at least have to post some pictures because all the cousins had flag shirts! Enjoy this look back on the last holiday we celebrated.
My sisters (Marisa, Lisa, Shauna) and I started out the morning with a 4.5 mile walk. It was kind of hard not to run it, actually, but we had a great time together. Marisa decided we needed to jog, and that was funny. Then Shauna busted a move in front of the marching band, and that was also funny. It was nice to do something with just the gals. The menfolk stayed at home to work on the deck, which was finished by early afternoon.
We went over to Lisa's in-laws for a BBQ around 4pm. Here is our lousy attempt to get all the kids to smile and look cute. We have notoriously crappy family photos. I should tell you a story about them sometime. It's kind of a painful story, though. As in painfully funny.
All the kids love my brother, Uncle Joel. He's really good with them too. Hopefully he'll get hitched and have some kids of his own soon!
Jillian and Lauren look so cute with their flag glasses courtesy of the Target $1 bins. Don't they look like they could be sisters?
Here are the kids, intently watching the goings-on. We had pretty good seats, but it was mighty hot that day. Whoo-ee!
A great action shot of a bucking bronco. My brother-in-law commented that we weren't hanging out with our usual crowd. That was true!! But it was fun to do something different.
Me and my Mom Kleone at the rodeo. Aren't we cute?
